Stenfert – a family firm – started life in the 1960s as timber traders in Rheden, Gelderland. After its initial success, the company gradually expanded its activities to include other products and services. As well as wood and timber materials, Stenfert increasingly provided its customers with carpentry work and designs. In the 1980s, the company management decided to clearly focus on interior construction and design, following a number of successful interior construction projects for local shops. The specialisation was reflected in the new name, Stenfert Interieur & Design.
Competitive, flexible, and reliable
Over time, Stenfert Interieur & Design has built up a sound reputation in the market. Its competitive rates have undoubtedly played a part in this, as has the company’s customer-oriented and flexible way of working. Customers are unlikely to hear Stenfert say, “We can’t do that.” We always look for the answers to our customers’ questions, and our work does not stop until the customer is satisfied with the final result. Our customers also know that we do not make empty promises. We do what we say.
We are particularly proud that some of the largest retail chains in the Netherlands are among our customers. For more than thirty years, we have been designing the interiors of Kwantum’s stores. And for De Mandemakers Groep (including Piet Klerkx, Woonexpres, Montel, and Sanders Meubelstad), we have created new interiors for numerous home furnishing and furniture stores. Thanks to this experience, Stenfert has now become a true specialist when it comes to designing home furnishing, furniture, and decoration stores.
Ready for the future
Shortly after the start of the new millennium, Stenfert Interieur & Design decided to join forces with van Keulen Interieurbouw in Nijverdal, one of the largest interior design companies in the Netherlands. Van Keulen Interieurbouw’s customers include not just stores, but also libraries, hospitals, and offices, among others.
Because of its merger with Van Keulen, Stenfert now has access to very extensive and modern facilities. We now process wood, metal, glass, and plastic for the production of tailor-made interior elements. This means our range and the choices available are now much wider for the customers of Stenfert Interieur & Design. We are therefore ready for the future.
